Hollow Bot Terms of Service
Effective date: July 22, 2026·Last updated: July 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Hollow Bot (the “Bot”), a Discord application operated by Hollow.cx (“Hollow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing, authorizing, interacting with, or receiving access through the Bot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use or authorize the Bot.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age required to use Discord in your country. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms on your own, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf.
You must also comply with Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and other applicable policies while using the Bot or any Discord channel made available through it.
2. What Hollow Bot Does
Hollow Bot connects an eligible Hollow.cx software purchase to a Discord account. After a purchase is confirmed and the purchaser links or identifies the appropriate Discord account, the Bot may assign a Discord role that provides access to product-specific customer channels.
Role-based access is a benefit associated with an eligible product entitlement. It is not ownership of a Discord role, channel, server, or community.
3. Discord Account Linking
To receive a customer role, you may be asked to authorize Discord account access or provide information that allows us to associate your Discord account with an eligible purchase. You are responsible for:
- Linking the correct Discord account;
- Keeping your Discord account secure;
- Providing accurate information; and
- Promptly contacting us if a role is assigned incorrectly or your account is compromised.
You may not link another person’s Discord account without their authorization or attempt to obtain access based on another person’s purchase.
4. Purchases, Refunds, and Role Eligibility
Purchases are made through Hollow.cx or an authorized payment provider and may be subject to separate purchase, refund, license, or product terms.
A role may be added, changed, suspended, or removed when:
- A purchase cannot be verified;
- A payment is refunded, reversed, disputed, or charged back;
- A product license or entitlement expires or is revoked;
- The linked Discord account is no longer eligible;
- A user leaves the Hollow Discord server;
- Access is transferred or shared without authorization; or
- These Terms, Discord’s policies, or applicable law are violated.
The Bot does not guarantee permanent availability of any role or channel.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass role or channel restrictions;
- Share, sell, rent, or transfer customer-only access;
- Use another person’s purchase, license, or Discord account without permission;
- Exploit, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Bot;
- Use automated tools to abuse the Bot or its authorization process;
- Submit false purchase or account information;
- Introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access to our systems; or
- Use the Bot or customer channels for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, infringing, or harmful activity.
6. Customer Channels
Access to a customer-only channel does not mean Hollow endorses content posted by users in that channel. You remain responsible for your own messages, uploads, and conduct. Server rules and Discord’s policies also apply.
We may moderate, restrict, or remove access to protect users, enforce rules, respond to security issues, or comply with legal obligations.
7. Availability and Changes
The Bot is provided on an “as available” basis. We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Bot or its role system at any time. Maintenance, outages, Discord platform changes, technical failures, or third-party services may delay or prevent role assignment.
If a role is not assigned correctly, contact us so we can review the purchase and linked Discord account.
8. Third-Party Services
The Bot depends on Discord and may interact with Hollow.cx, hosting providers, databases, and payment or order systems. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Hollow does not control and is not responsible for Discord outages, account actions, API changes, or third-party service failures.
Discord is not a party to these Terms and does not sponsor or endorse Hollow Bot.
9. Intellectual Property
Hollow Bot, the Hollow name and branding, website materials, and related software are owned by Hollow or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Bot for its intended purpose.
10. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Bot by leaving the server, removing any authorization available through Discord, or contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, abused the Bot, created a security risk, lost the relevant product entitlement, or exposed Hollow, Discord, or others to legal or operational harm.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law—will survive.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Bot is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Bot will always be available, error-free, secure, or compatible with every Discord account or server configuration.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hollow and its owners, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, access, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to the Bot.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hollow’s total liability arising from the Bot will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid specifically for the affected service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Bot, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are posted. Material changes may also be announced through Hollow.cx or the Hollow Discord server. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that is not subject to a mandatory legal forum will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in California.
